YOUR BUSINESS. OUR FOCUS.
UpSure Healthcare
Insurance for the business behind the care.
People, premises, patient data and technology. Let's talk about the risks around your healthcare business.
Business insurance, not private health insurance.
Start with your services
Describe the care, advice or technology you provide, and the people delivering it.
Look beyond one policy
Consider the practice's premises, data and team alongside professional exposures.
Keep the conversation open
Bring us new locations, services or contracts before your risk profile changes.
A CLEARER STARTING POINT
Care takes many forms. So does risk.
A consulting room, a multi-site practice and a digital health platform don't work the same way. Tell us who delivers the care, what your business does and where technology fits. We will confirm the scope and available markets before proceeding.

THE COVER CONVERSATION
What might your business need?
Start with the exposures, then the policy. Here are some of the areas we can discuss.
Professional & clinical exposures
Review the services and practitioners involved. Clinical work may need specialist indemnity; standard PI is not automatically suitable.
Discuss with our teamCyber & privacy
Consider incident response and privacy liability around patient information, booking systems and connected services.
Explore this areaPremises & equipment
Discuss fit-outs, equipment and interruption exposures, including whether specialist equipment needs separate treatment.
Explore this areaPublic & products liability
Consider visitor injury, property damage and supplied products. Do not assume this replaces clinical indemnity.
Explore this areaManagement liability
Explore governance and employment-related exposures for the business and its leadership.
Explore this areaHealthtech & digital services
Review software, implementation and contract exposures alongside any clinical activities. Eligibility depends on what you actually do.
Explore this areaCover is subject to your activities, profession, insurer appetite and policy terms. We will confirm what we can arrange. This page does not confirm compliance with professional registration requirements or replace practitioner-specific advice.
A CONNECTED PRACTICE
Protecting the business around the patient.
A booking system, outsourced IT provider or misplaced device can affect more than the working day. Patient information, service continuity and the business's response need to be considered together.
- Map where patient information is held and who can access it.
- Discuss reliance on practice software and external providers.
- Review cyber cover alongside security controls and an incident plan.
LET'S MAKE IT SIMPLE
A short brief.
A real conversation.
Tell us what you do, what is changing and when you need cover. We will explain the next step and what else we need.
Start your enquiryA few useful things to have ready
- Your services, treatments or technology activities
- Practitioners, staff, contractors and business entities
- Locations, equipment and how you handle health information
- Current policies, renewal dates, claims and incidents
Complex quotes require an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Here is how that works.
Is this private health insurance?
No. This page is about insurance for the business operating a healthcare service or building healthcare technology. It is not hospital or extras cover for individuals or families.
Does a business policy cover clinical treatment?
Not automatically. Clinical and professional exposures need specific review. Tell us exactly what services are delivered, by whom and under which entities. We will confirm whether suitable cover can be arranged rather than assume a general business or technology policy will respond.
Does this replace my professional indemnity arrangements?
No. Individual practitioner arrangements and the business's own exposures should be considered separately. Professional indemnity registration standards are specific to the relevant National Board. Check your profession's requirements and the actual scope of your current arrangements.
Ahpra registration standardsWhy discuss cyber insurance for a healthcare business?
Health information can include appointment and billing details, not just clinical notes. Discuss how a breach or systems outage could affect your business and the support available under a cyber policy. Insurance complements security measures; it does not replace them.
OAIC: what is health information? How do I request a healthcare quote?
Start with a short enquiry about your business, services and the cover you want to discuss. Our team will clarify your requirements and confirm the next steps. Healthcare enquiries are broker-reviewed, not an automatic quote or confirmation of cover. Please do not include patient-identifiable information.
What happens after I get in touch?
We clarify your activities, existing arrangements and the scope of the enquiry. For complex quotes, an engagement letter sets out how we work together before detailed broking work begins. No cover starts simply by making an enquiry.

General information only. This does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Availability and cover depend on underwriting acceptance and the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and excesses. An enquiry is not confirmation of cover.
