YOUR BUSINESS. OUR FOCUS.
UpSure Transport & Logistics
For the businesses keeping goods moving.
Cargo, vehicles, warehouses and customer promises. Let's look at what you move, what you store and who is responsible along the way.
For carriers, freight businesses and warehouse operators.
Map the whole journey
Include collection, storage, transfers and final delivery.
Separate the exposures
Review cargo ownership and liability for customers' goods.
Check the promises
Bring conditions of carriage and service contracts into the review.
A CLEARER STARTING POINT
Follow the goods. Understand the responsibility.
Owning stock is different from carrying or storing it for someone else. Your customer contracts, subcontractors and routes help determine where responsibility sits and what insurance needs to be considered.

- Freight businesses
- Warehousing & fulfilment

THE COVER CONVERSATION
What might your business need?
Start with the exposures, then the policy. Here are some of the areas we can discuss.
Cargo & transit
Goods moving by road, sea, air or rail, with territory, commodity and insured-interest details made clear.
Explore this areaCarriers & warehouse liability
Discuss responsibility for customers' goods in your custody, including handling, storage and subcontracting.
Discuss with our teamCommercial motor & fleet
Vehicles and trailers need their own review. Cargo and motor cover should not be treated as interchangeable.
Discuss with our teamPremises & interruption
Warehouses, handling equipment and operational dependencies, subject to declared values and insured events.
Explore this areaPublic liability
Third-party injury and property damage around depots and operations, with vehicle-related exclusions checked.
Explore this areaCyber insurance
Dispatch platforms, customer information and digital tracking systems can create incident-response needs.
Explore this areaThese are areas to discuss, not a recommended package or confirmation that cover is available. We will confirm insurer appetite and the scope we can arrange. Policy terms, exclusions, limits and excesses apply. Workers compensation and other compulsory arrangements need separate consideration.
EVERY HANDOVER COUNTS
Who carries the risk when the goods change hands?
A transport policy needs more than a vehicle count. Describe the goods, the custody chain and any contractual promises that go beyond your ordinary responsibilities.
- Identify maximum values per load and at each storage site.
- Declare refrigerated, fragile, dangerous or high-value goods.
- Review subcontractors and customer conditions of carriage.
LET'S MAKE IT SIMPLE
A short brief.
A real conversation.
Tell us what you do, what is changing and when you need cover. We will explain the next step and what else we need.
Start your enquiryA few useful things to have ready
- Goods carried, routes, services and subcontractor use
- Maximum load and storage values
- Fleet details, depots and security procedures
- Customer contracts, existing policies and loss history
Complex quotes require an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Here is how that works.
Does motor insurance cover the load?
Not automatically. Damage to a vehicle, damage to the goods and legal liability for customers' goods are distinct exposures. Review each arrangement rather than relying on the vehicle policy alone.
What's the difference between cargo and carriers liability?
Cargo cover generally insures an interest in the goods themselves. Carriers liability concerns your liability for goods you carry, subject to the contract and wording. Who owns the goods and who bears the risk are important starting questions.
What about refrigerated or high-value goods?
Tell us before carrying them. Temperature changes, theft, unattended vehicles, packaging and maximum values may have specific conditions, exclusions or sublimits. A general declaration of freight may not be enough.
Are late deliveries covered?
Not simply because the delivery is late. Delay, penalties and contractual performance promises may be excluded. Share those obligations so we can explain the distinction between insurable losses and commercial responsibilities.
What happens after I enquire?
Our team reviews your activities and the scope of the work before approaching insurers. These enquiries are broker-led, not automatic quotes. For complex placements, we agree an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Making an enquiry does not start cover.

Let's talk about the journey, not just the load.
General information only. This does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Availability and cover depend on underwriting acceptance and the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and excesses. An enquiry is not confirmation of cover. Read the relevant policy documents and our Financial Services Guide.
