YOUR BUSINESS. OUR FOCUS.
UpSure Energy & Infrastructure
Big projects start with the right questions.
From development and installation to day-to-day operations, help us understand the asset, the technology and the responsibilities around it.
Scope and market availability confirmed for each project.
Follow the project lifecycle
Consider development, transit, construction and operation separately.
Bring the contracts
Identify responsibilities between owners, contractors and operators.
Confirm the market fit
Technical detail helps establish what insurers will consider.
A CLEARER STARTING POINT
One project. Several different risk stages.
Shipping equipment, commissioning it and running it are not the same insurance problem. Share the project structure, technology, contracts and timeline early so we can discuss what is needed at each handover.

- Project developers
- Operators & service providers
THE COVER CONVERSATION
What might your business need?
Start with the exposures, then the policy. Here are some of the areas we can discuss.
Construction & commissioning
Discuss contract works, testing and the point at which operational insurance must take over.
Discuss with our teamOperational assets
Physical damage and related interruption exposures for plant and equipment, subject to the insured triggers.
Explore this areaEquipment in transit
Review major components moving to site, including storage, handling and responsibility at each transfer.
Explore this areaLiability exposures
Third-party injury and damage, with environmental risks considered separately where relevant.
Explore this areaDesign & engineering
Professional duties and technical advice need to be reviewed against the actual scope of your services.
Explore this areaCyber & control systems
Discuss remote access, control systems and suppliers without assuming cyber cover answers physical damage.
Explore this areaThese are areas to discuss, not a recommended package or confirmation that cover is available. We will confirm insurer appetite and the scope we can arrange. Policy terms, exclusions, limits and excesses apply. Workers compensation and other compulsory arrangements need separate consideration.
FROM PLANS TO OPERATIONS
Make the handovers part of the plan.
A project may involve separate owners, contractors, lenders and operators. Insurance should be reviewed alongside those responsibilities and the expected dates for testing, acceptance and commercial operation.
- Clarify the insured parties at each project stage.
- Discuss lead times for critical replacement components.
- Distinguish insured damage delays from commercial performance risk.
LET'S MAKE IT SIMPLE
A short brief.
A real conversation.
Tell us what you do, what is changing and when you need cover. We will explain the next step and what else we need.
Start your enquiryA few useful things to have ready
- Technology, site details and project stage
- Values, technical reports and key component suppliers
- Construction, maintenance and financing contracts
- Testing dates, safety controls and claims information
Complex quotes require an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Here is how that works.
Can one policy cover the whole project lifecycle?
It depends on the structure and available wording. Transit, construction, testing and operation can require different arrangements. We will discuss responsibilities and dates so cover is not assumed to continue unchanged at a handover.
Does insurance guarantee output or investment returns?
No. Operational insurance is not a promise of energy yield, revenue or investment performance. Any interruption or delay cover needs its own insured trigger, limits and conditions. Performance guarantees need separate specialist discussion.
What if our technology is new?
Provide the technical specifications, testing history, suppliers and safeguards. Novel technology can affect market appetite, exclusions and terms. We will confirm feasibility rather than promise that a market will accept it.
When should we involve a broker?
Before contracts are finalised and equipment starts moving. Lender requirements, testing periods and project responsibilities can influence the options available and the time insurers need to review the risk.
What happens after I enquire?
Our team reviews your activities and the scope of the work before approaching insurers. These enquiries are broker-led, not automatic quotes. For complex placements, we agree an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Making an enquiry does not start cover.

Let's understand the project before the placement.
General information only. This does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Availability and cover depend on underwriting acceptance and the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and excesses. An enquiry is not confirmation of cover. Read the relevant policy documents and our Financial Services Guide.
