YOUR BUSINESS. OUR FOCUS.

UpSure Construction & Engineering

Cover conversations that start before the work does.

From the design brief to site handover, we help you work through the assets, responsibilities and contracts behind your projects.

For project businesses, contractors and engineering services.

Start with your scope

Define the work, project values and responsibilities clearly.

Review before signing

Bring insurance and indemnity clauses into the conversation early.

Look beyond the site

Include plant, materials in transit and professional services.

A CLEARER STARTING POINT

Your role on the project changes your risk.

Designing, building, supervising and supplying equipment create different obligations. Tell us which roles you take on, who appoints you and what the contract expects. We can then agree the scope of the insurance review.

  • Construction businesses
  • Engineering consultants
  • Project contractors
  • Plant & installation services

READ THE CONTRACT, THEN DESIGN THE COVER

A certificate is only the starting point.

A requested limit does not explain everything you have agreed to. Principal's interests, indemnities, existing property and subcontractor arrangements can all change the insurance discussion.

  • Confirm who arranges works cover and what it includes.
  • Check professional obligations alongside construction liabilities.
  • Review testing, completion and defects-period requirements.

LET'S MAKE IT SIMPLE

A short brief.
A real conversation.

Tell us what you do, what is changing and when you need cover. We will explain the next step and what else we need.

Start your enquiry

A few useful things to have ready

  • Trades, services, project types and maximum values
  • Contracts, project dates and subcontractor arrangements
  • Plant schedules and owned or hired equipment
  • Current policies, licences and claims history

Complex quotes require an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Here is how that works.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A little clarity
before you start.

Something else on your mind?
Ask our team

Is contract works the same as public liability?

No. They address different exposures. Works cover concerns insured damage to the project and materials; public liability addresses certain third-party injury or property damage claims. Both need to reflect your role and contracts.

Annual cover or a single-project policy?

That depends on the number, type and value of projects and the terms available. Annual cover can still have limits for individual projects, activities and periods. Share your current pipeline and any unusually large job.

Are subcontractors automatically insured?

Do not assume so. Your liability arising from their work and the subcontractor's own cover are different matters. Review the named insureds, subcontract conditions and evidence of the subcontractor's insurance.

Does this replace compulsory building insurance?

No. Any statutory insurance, licensing or workers compensation requirements need separate checking for your jurisdiction and work. General construction or liability cover is not proof that those obligations have been met.

What happens after I enquire?

Our team reviews your activities and the scope of the work before approaching insurers. These enquiries are broker-led, not automatic quotes. For complex placements, we agree an engagement letter before detailed broking work begins. Making an enquiry does not start cover.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Bring us the brief before work begins.

General information only. This does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Availability and cover depend on underwriting acceptance and the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and excesses. An enquiry is not confirmation of cover. Read the relevant policy documents and our Financial Services Guide.
